Together Jorrit Douwes and Boby Rootveld form The Guitar Company. The Guitar Company
was originally formed in 2001 in Holland. Bobby Rootveld was a member since the start
of The Guitar Company and Jorrit Douwes joined recently. Bobby Rootveld studied classical
guitar Bachelor at the Artez Conservatory, Holland and classical guita and theatre
Master at the Messiaen Academy, Holland. Jorrit Douwes is currently studying at the
Artez Conservatory. The Guitar Company has a big repertoire including renaissance,
baroque, romantic, Spanish, own compositions, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Avant-Garde and World
Music. The Guitar Company performed for Dutch Television and for Dutch National Radio
and also played in the Concertgebouw (Concertbuilding) of Amsterdam. The Guitar Company
also performed in Germany, Hungary and Switzerland. The Guitar Company played on
music festivals like The Twents Guitar Festival in Holland, The Alkmaar Guitar Festival
in Holland and in 2007 and 2008 on The Encs Guitar Festival in Hungary.
